I took a turn that exits and goes uphill right after it, car right behind me, we're the same car even, difference, the other car takes off like it's got a jet engine in it, I'm talking instantly max speed as soon as exiting the turn. Soon as I hit the second one though it became very obvious what was happening, that age old trick the rubber band. First race was fine but that was to be expected it's the first race you always win the first race no matter what. A huge amount of track/car combos where you can compare your times to global players an friends. Time trials: if you love time trials, this is the game to play. The current online options are very basic but Codemasters has promised to upgrade these. Already played some very exciting online races. The cars remain somewhat planted, a bit off course, but another player can't nudge you out of the game. You can't just barge through a corner and puts everyone of course. The collision detection is perfect for close and fair online racing. Not up to Forza 4 standards, but definitely on a high standard. Graphics: seen a lot of comments about this, but there are very good. Among others, Motorstorm fans will love this. I love my sims like Dirt Rally 2.0, GT Sport etc, but I've been looking for a good arcade racer, and this is the one that fits my needs. Those who prefer sim/arcade or sim might not like this. I really love Dirt 5, and the more you play it, the more you appreciate the true scale of the game. Even the career mode is not a chore, as these usually are in racing games.
